Recommendation

The City Clerk recommends that the City Council waive full reading and adopt by title Ordinance No. 19-1398.

Background:

At the November 12, 2019 City Council meeting, staff presented the draft ordinance for Council consideration. Following public hearing, the City Council introduced the ordinance, on a 5-0 vote, with the following amendment to Section E of the recitals of the ordinance:

 

1.                     Recital E. - insert new text to item to read “A ban on certain additional polystyrene products, single-use plastic products, and other single use products will further serve the City’s goal of reducing litter”.
